Hello! I’m Joe, a registered pharmacist in the great state of Michigan and founder of TheFrugalPharmacist. After graduating from Ferris State University in 2011 with my Pharm.D., I began working at a large national chain pharmacy where I have encountered countless situations in which my patients chose between paying for groceries or heat and paying for their life saving medications. This was too much for me to bear without taking action so I felt compelled to share my insider knowledge to make medications more affordable.
I started TheFrugalPharmacist to reach as many people as I can and help individuals across the nation, not just the ones that come to my community pharmacy. The information found on this website is written by myself and my team of licensed pharmacists, pharmacy techs, and pharmacy students from all over the country.
