People in my neck of the woods have been battling “The Crud” for months now and it seems to be picking up in severity. “The Crud” is a never ending cycle of upper respiratory illness causing runny nose, severe congestion, and cough. Prescription medications I’ve seen come through the pharmacy for “The Crud” include for :
Tamiflu (oseltamivir) for influenza. available as a generic now but still quite pricey and in my professional opinion not worth the 1 day it shortens flu symptom duration, at least for healthy adults. And that’s only if it’s prescribed within the first 48 hours of flu symptom onset.
